On behalf of all staff, we would like to welcome you to the official website for the Clayton police department.  Our agency is a certified, professional police department providing police services to our community. The Clayton police department was the first in the state to receive the law enforcement recognition award by the New Mexico law enforcement professional standards council.

To provide an atmosphere within the community that will demonstrate professional, unbiased and exemplary law enforcement services.

To maintain a positive dialogue with other local law enforcement to ensure that Clayton remains a safe community thereby assisting economic development.

To ensure that communication between the public, staff and Town council does not fail.

To ensure that all citizens are treated with the utmost respect by maintaining the highest level of public service throughout Town government.

Providing leadership to the community and Town personnel of Clayton in order to strive and prosper.
